Haskell Indian Nations University is an institution with a long a storied history. Haskell strives to offer a meaningful and transformative educational experience, strengthened by the many cultures represented. With an eye towards future challenges, needed skillsets, and preservation and restoration of culture and language, Haskell’s new strategic plan will honor those who came before while transforming for the needs of future generations.

Timeline:

Fall 2023 to Summer 2024                                                                  Data Collection

• • • • • • • • • • • Focus Groups will be conducted with stakeholders from around campus including staff, faculty, board members, and students.

Spring 2024 to Fall 2024                                                                      Data Analysis

• • • • • • • • • • • Content analysis reviewing focus group data will be completed.

Fall 2024 to February 2025                                                                 Focused Themes

• • • • • • • • • • • Strategic Plan Steering Committee will formulate achievable and aspirational goals centered on focused themes.
                    • Strategic Plan Steering Committee will also review and revise the Haskell Mission and Vision statements.
                    • Strategic Plan Steering Committee will consist of the Executive Council, Deans, faculty, and staff, with input from students.

February 2025 to April 2025                                                               Review and Finalize

• • • • • • • • • • • Strategic Plan Steering Committee will present the Haskell Mission, Vision, and strategic plan themes to the Haskell National Board of Regents.
                    • Open comment period for new strategic plan, mission, and vision will start in late April 2025.

May 2025                                                                                                 Final Presentation and Adoption

• • • • • • • • • • • Final edits will be made after public comment period.
                    • New strategic plan will be adopted with a new mission and vision statement.
