Communications Studies
The Communication Studies Department offers courses in support of the General Education Program in Speech Communication and Public Speaking, along with a 2-year Associate of Arts Emphasis in Speech Communication. Additional upper level courses are offered to provide electives appropriate for majors in Business, American Indian Studies, Education, and Environmental Science.
The mission of the Communication Studies Department is to create culturally-relevant learning experiences that will equip students to effectively communicate verbally and visually throughout life. This will be accomplished through courses that focus on the communication skills used in interpersonal, intercultural, group and public contexts.
