Sponsored Programs

The Mission of the Sponsored Programs Department is to expand and strengthen the University’s commitment to research, knowledge, and innovative activity through external funding that provides an enriched teaching and a positive learning environment for faculty and students.

The Sponsored Programs Department has the primary responsibility for assisting in seeking, securing, and stewarding external grants from government, private and corporate foundation sources. Additional responsibilities are programmatic grant compliance and ensuring that Haskell grants are managed properly. The Grant Projects Coordinator collaborates with Haskell University administration, faculty and staff in program development, proposal submission, and grant award management. Sponsored Programs continue to network and strengthen partnerships with external resources that include institutions of higher education, non-profits, federal agencies and local community organizations. These external resources provide significant benefits to Haskell University and further the institution’s mission in faculty research, student services, and community and institutional collaboration.

Goals:
In keeping with the Universities’ Strategic Plan, Sponsored Programs will apply Continuous Improvement, to contribute to student growth and learning by supporting the Universities goals and strategies as well as specific department objectives through the planning, development and award of grant funded initiatives that promote a comprehensive teaching and learning centered environment.
